Prof Nanram B. Longbap was born at Rawaya in Shendam L.G.A of Plateau State. He had his primary education between 1966-1972 at L.E.A Yelwa-Shendam. Between 1976 – 1988, Prof Nanram B. Longbap obtained his Grade II, NCE and B.A(ED) degree. He later proceeded to the University of Jos between 1989-1998 where he obtained M.ED and Ph. D. degrees in Counselling Psychology, specializing in Mental Health Counselling. Prof Nanram B. Longbap is a registered member of Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON). He had served at various times as an Assistant Secretary General, Secretary General and Financial Secretary of CASSON between 2001-2014. In recognition of his meritorious service to CASSON, Prof N. B. Longbap was inducted a Fellow (FCASSON) in 2015. In 2018, Prof. N.B Longbap was inducted as a member of Nigeria Academy of Education (Mnae). He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of “The Counsellor” an official Journal of CASSON; needless to say he is a consulting Editor to many reputable learned peer review Journals of both National and International status. Prof Nanram B. Longbap is married to Mrs Irah Longbap; the marriage is blessed with two daughters: Nankur and Nangar Longbap
